Our house is filled with African baskets and textiles thanks to my wife's African heritage. I was inspired by the irregularity of these pieces and wanted to create something similar with clay. These are the first four in the Africa basket collection. Wheel thrown stoneware with an intentionally irregular shape and later finished using a number of techniques these will dress up any shelf with a little taste of Africa.
